South of Jackson

Surrounded by the gently sloping terrain of the Snow King mountain complex to the east, Munger Mountain to the south and the Snake River plain that winds its way through the Jackson Hole valley this area of Jackson Hole is an escape from the hustle and bustle of downtown and by far the local’s favorite.

Along South Park Loop, larger tracts and horse properties are common, and withsome working ranches, this part of the valley provides a feeling of the old west.Farther south, several small and exclusive neighborhoods offer larger acreageproperties and scenery.

At the south end of the valley, the Snake River Sporting Club, offers a golf course,equestrian center and fully functioning ranch bordered by river and wilderness.To service the increased local commuter traffic flow, highway 89/189 has beenexpanded to a 5 lane hi-way.

Three Creek Ranch

Ely Springs

Nestled in the heart of a stunning, secluded environment and located between theSnake River and the town of Jackson, Ely Springs offers both, the Grand Tetonviews and Snake River access. This land is adorned with an array of vegetationand wildlife, from cottonwood trees, willows, evergreens, and wildflowermeadows to bald eagles, trumpeter swans, river otters, blue herons, mule deer,moose, and elk. This lush terrain is home to an estimated 400+ elk that residewithin the vicinity year round.

Dairy Ranches

Perched up on the bench above the Snake River, Dairy Ranches is an older subdivision offering a secluded location, Teton views and larger parcels, yet it’s only five miles south of downtown Jackson and about a 20-minute drive from Jackson Hole Mountain Resort.

Shooting Iron Ranch

Shooting Iron Ranch is an undiscovered gem of a subdivision tucked off South Park Loop Road and features wide open meadows and Teton views. These properties offer the best of both worlds for those who seek larger acreage in Jackson Hole, but want to be close to town.

Melody Ranch

Melody Ranch, just four miles south of the Town of Jackson, is a place of wide- open spaces and a strong sense of community. Some of these homes feature Grand Teton views and there are multiple water features in the form of ponds, creeks and tributaries of Flat Creek that runs from the Elk Refuge north of town to the Snake River South of Melody Ranch.

Rafter J

Rafter J is one of the oldest and largest subdivisions in Jackson Hole. In 1978 Floyd King, Jerry Wilson and Chuck Luton purchased the 600 acre Arthur and Phyllis Brown Ranch and subdivided it into 360 lots of 1/4 to 1/2 acres in size. The development is about 3 miles south of the town of Jackson and close to schools, offering convenience and a great community environment.

Polo Ranches

An older subdivision just four miles South of the Town of Jackson on thebottomlands of the Snake River drainage area. Horses are allowed for the ridingenthusiast. Proximity to the town of Jackson and schools is also good from thisdevelopment.

Game Creek Game Creek subdivision combines a true western lifestyle with proximity to the Town of Jackson amenities. With direct access to Bridger-Teton National Forest and closeness to the Game Creek drainage, this area is ideal for the horse enthusiast.
