South of Jackson
Surrounded by the gently sloping terrain of the Snow King mountain complex to the east, Munger Mountain to the south and the Snake River plain that winds its way through the Jackson Hole valley this area of Jackson Hole is an escape from the hustle and bustle of downtown and by far the local’s favorite.
Along South Park Loop, larger tracts and horse properties are common, and with some working ranches, this part of the valley provides a feeling of the old west. Farther south, several small and exclusive neighborhoods offer larger acreage properties and scenery.
At the south end of the valley, the Snake River Sporting Club, offers a golf course, equestrian center and fully functioning ranch bordered by river and wilderness. To service the increased local commuter traffic flow, highway 89/189 has been expanded to a 5 lane hi-way.
